When should I plan to eat or drink a Sub-Zero Smoothie or Bowl?
It's great to start your morning with a Sub-Zero as a simple and delicious way to get fruits or veggies at the start of the day. But really, you can enjoy one anytime that you'd like a burst of energy from real food. The protein smoothies are amazing for workout recovery and lots of people also tell us that they love bringing the smoothies to the office so they have a healthy lunch option.
How do I make Sub-Zero Smoothies and Bowls?
Add liquid of your choice to your cup.
Add cup contents to blender.
Blend, pour back into cup. Enjoy!
For bowls, toppings are also included for you to add. The side of each cup offers directions and recommended liquid for our best suggestions.
How long does it take to make Sub-Zero Smoothies & Bowls?
Approximate blending time is under one minute. You’ll quickly get to know your own blender speed and can adjust your personal blending time up or down as needed.
To clean your blender. add a squirt of dish soap, fill less than halfway with water and blend for 10 seconds. Do a final rinse with water and voila - it’ll be ready for your next creation.
I have food allergies...can I purchase your Superfood Smoothies & Bowls?
Yes! Our Sub-Zero Superfoods™ Smoothies & Bowls are:
Vegan, with the exception of the Coffee Collagen smoothie (containing bovine collagen) andthe Mango Turmeric smoothie (containing bee pollen)
Organic and free of preservatives!
Please be advised that our smoothies are manufactured using equipment that also process tree nuts. If you have a severe allergy to any of our ingredients, there is a risk for cross-contamination.
I have dietary restrictions and wellness goals. How can I ensure I am staying on track?
We believe in ingredient and nutritional transparency. You can view all ingredients and nutritional information on our product pages to make the best-informed decisions that meet your goals and needs.
What liquid bases do I need on hand?
Each smoothie and bowl will have a recommended liquid base. A non-dairy milk of your choice or coconut water. Please see individual item descriptions within the product descriptions on this site and on the cups themselves.
Do I need to defrost before blending?
Ingredients in your Sub-Zeros are flash-frozen to retain the nutrient density and quality of the produce from farm to cup. All cups and bowls should remain frozen until you’re ready to blend them.
How long can I keep the unblended cups in my freezer?
Each cup and bowl has a "Best By" date stamped on it.
Once blended, how long do I have to eat or drink my Sub-Zero?
Please enjoy within 24 hours of blending.
What type of blender do I need?
Most any blender will do! Our cups fit in everything from a Vitamix to a Nutri-Bullet. Really, any blender can make the magic happen.
How long do I blend for?
Every blender has different strength and power output, so it’s impossible to give an exact universal time. Blend until smooth, try 60 seconds and give it a taste test!
Can I refreeze a smoothie I didn’t finish?
We don't recommend refreezing.

How does it work?
Choose your box size (8, 12, 24).
Fill your box with Sub-Zero Superfoods™ Smoothies & Bowls of your choosing.
Choose your first delivery date. Do a happy dance. Sit back, relax and wait for your goods to arrive. We’ll send you shipping info when they’re on the way!
After your initial order is placed, you have full control over managing your order frequency through the "Manage Subscriptions" section of your account. You can modify the frequency to weekly, every other week or monthly, change the contents of your box and skip individual weeks as desired. No rules, no tricks. Cancel any time.
Going away? No worries - skip a week(s) as needed. Didn’t get to finish your Sub-Zeros from the last delivery? Not a problem - skip upcoming deliveries until your freezer is cleared. Just need a break? Not to fret, we get it. Skip ‘til your ready for more.
I only want one box...what do I do?
All Sub-Zero Superfoods orders default to a subscription, but you can cancel anytime before the next week’s order cut-off window.
When is the order cutoff for changes to my upcoming deliveries?
All edits to orders must be made by 8:00 pm PST on the Saturday before your order is scheduled to arrive. Up until that cutoff time, you can opt to edit your selection or skip the delivery altogether.
Do I have to choose my smoothies and bowls every delivery?
The choice is 100% yours. You can select your Sub-Zeros one time and receive those with each delivery or you can change up your selection for every delivery. Customers commonly change up their first few boxes while they’re learning what they love and then ultimately set it and forget it.
How do I modify my smoothie and bowl selection?
Login into your account, click "Manage Subscriptions" and click "View & Edit All Upcoming Deliveries". From here, you will be able to modify individual orders or all orders moving forward with the click of a button!
How do I change my box size?
Increase or decrease your box size by logging into your account and accessing your Subscription dashboard. Upgrade or downgrade your box size by clicking on "Edit Plan Type". If you have the freezer space, you’ll get to save a bit of dough ($) with the 12 or 24 box.
How much does it cost?
The bigger the box, the less you pay.

When will I be charged for my delivery?
Each Sub-Zero Superfoods™ delivery will be billed the Sunday before your next scheduled delivery date.
How do I update my shipping address and payment info?
Please contact customer service at firstname.lastname@example.org to update your shipping address - for one off orders and/or permanently. To modify your payment details, log into your account and in the orders tab, click Manage My Subscription - here you will be able to update your payment details.
How do I skip or edit deliveries?
We offer a user-friendly Subscription dashboard that allows you to modify and skip deliveries up to twelve weeks in advance. In order for edits to be reflected within your next delivery, you must make all changes the Saturday (8 pm PST) before your next scheduled delivery.
How can I cancel?
Say it ain’t so. Are you sure you want to cancel???
You can always skip deliveries as needed, change up your frequency or edit your box size!
While we’d be bummed to see you go, canceling is easy. You may cancel your subscription by accessing your Subscription dashboard and going into your "Edit My Plan" details, and click cancel. Cancellations must take place the Saturday (8 pm PST) before your next scheduled delivery. Of course, if there is anything we can address or help with, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at email@example.com.
I miss my deliveries! Do I need to re-enroll?
We’ve missed you too! We offer single click reactivation. Click “Reactivate” within your Subscription dashboard for the subscription you wish to resume and your deliveries will begin to populate for the next available delivery date.
SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
Where do you ship?
We deliver to all 50 states! (We see you Alaska and Hawaii ☺) Please note perishable items can ‘t be delivered to PO boxes. Street address is required.
Do you ship internationally?
Due to the perishable nature of our products, we are unable to ship outside of the United States at this time.
How much is shipping?
Sub-Zero Superfoods™ ship for free, ALWAYS! Yes, you read that right. The price you see is the price you pay. No extra fees at checkout.
How is it shipped?
Your Sub-Zeros are shipped using insulated cooler boxes and dry ice to ensure proper temperature control during transit. Please note that dry ice must be handled with care.
How do I handle dry ice?
DO NOT TOUCH dry ice with bare hands. Do not attempt to pick up or break apart. Do not place dry ice in your freezer. Do not place on surfaces. Leave the dry ice in the box and place in a well ventilated area to dissipate naturally.
Do I have to be home to accept the package?
Nope. We don’t require a signature upon delivery and the Sub-Zeros will remain frozen until you arrive home. That said - please note that it’s ultimately at the discretion of the courier if they deem it a safe place to leave your package. Be sure to leave any special delivery instructions or gate/door codes in your order notes and we’ll happily include on your package.
Can you guarantee delivery dates?
Boxes are shipped via OnTrac or FedEx depending upon your delivery location and will arrive on either Thursday or Friday. The day of the week on which your first package arrives, is the day you can anticipate delivery for each subsequent delivery. You’ll be sent a tracking notification with specific delivery details as soon as the package is on its way to you.
My package appears to be running behind schedule, what should I do?
Oh snap! We hate when packages are late! We actively monitor your box through delivery completion. If there are any significant delays anticipated, we’ll do our best to proactively reach out and let you know.
While FedEx and Ontrac delays are outside of our control, we understand the anticipation of waiting for a package to arrive and will do everything we can to help get your delivery to you on the expected day.
How long will my box stay cold if I am not home to receive them or if there is a delivery delay?
Your package comes with an insulated liner and dry ice sufficient to keep our products frozen until the end of your originally scheduled delivery day. If there is a delay, depending on weather conditions in your area, your items may still arrive frozen. If for some reason they do not arrive frozen, please notify us immediately and we will help sort it out!
Why did I receive a different smoothie than ordered?
Even though we try to see into the future at all times, organic produce availability along with customer demand can be unpredictable at times. Every once in a while, we may run out of ingredients to make a certain smoothie or bowl. When this happens, a substitution may be sent. We’ll always aim to notify you of the substitution before your delivery is shipped so there is an opportunity for you to choose your own replacement.
